LAMBORGHINI
DIABLO Roadster
After more than a decade as a reigning supercar terror,
time has come for the legendary Lamborghini Diablo to
bow down to its successor, the hellfire-packing Murcielago.
Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Murcielago at
the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show, lifting large crates
off a pair of wedge-shaped cars before a large, anxious
crowd flanked by the Ferrari and Maserati booths. Pushing
the boundaries at the extreme, white-hot end of the
automotive spectrum, the evolutionary car improves upon
the Diablo's basic formula while retaining its spirit.
